ADAN is hiring a European Public and Regulatory Affairs Manager
Adan is the trade association that brings together and represents French and European companies in the digital assets sector (cryptocurrency, blockchain, Web3, etc.).
With more than 100 member companies, it brings together a diverse sector comprising, among others, trading platforms, fintech companies, banks, and players in the fields of tokenization and decentralized finance.
Adan engages with French and European policymakers to help develop a regulatory framework that is clear, proportionate, and conducive to innovation and the emergence of strong European players. The association also serves as a forum for dialogue, coordination, and expertise for its members.
Position
The European Public and Regulatory Affairs Manager helps define and implement ADAN’s European strategy.
He or she represents the association before European institutions, European supervisory authorities, and other stakeholders in the Brussels ecosystem. He or shemonitors Europeanlegislative and regulatory developments that may impact the digital assets sector and coordinates the development of ADAN’s positions with its members.
Key Responsibilities
Representation and European Public Affairs

Develop and maintain ADAN’s institutional network in Brussels, particularly with the European Commission, the European Parliament, the permanent representations of the Member States, and the relevant European authorities;

Represent Adan at institutional meetings, hearings, and European events;

Identify key contacts and key moments that will enable the association to contribute effectively to European efforts;

Organize and prepare meetings for ADAN and its members in Brussels;
-
Strengthen ADAN's relationships with professional associations and other relevant European stakeholders;
Monitoring of European Legislation and Regulations

Conduct in-depth monitoring of European legislative, regulatory, and institutional initiatives that could affect the digital assets sector;

Monitor the implementation and developments of the European framework governing crypto-assets, as well as related topics (financial services, payments, anti-money laundering, and financial innovation)

Monitor the Level 2 work being carried out by the relevant European authorities;
-
Analyze and prepare briefs on EU legislation and policies, as well as their operational implications for ADAN members;
-
Anticipate future European initiatives so that the association can define its positions well in advance;
Advocacy for the sector and coordination among members

Gather feedback, concerns, and priorities from members;
-
Facilitate internal working groups and consultations on key European issues;
-
Developing common positions that reconcile the various models and interests represented within the association;

Draft position papers, submissions to public consultations, institutional memos, amendments, and advocacy documents, primarily in English;
Qualifications

A master’s degree or equivalent, ideally in European affairs, European law, public affairs, political science, economics, finance, regulation, or public policy;

Significant professional experience in European public affairs, gained within an institution, a regulatory authority, a trade association, a consulting firm, or a company subject to European regulatory issues;

A network of contacts in the private and institutional sectors, particularly at the EU level;
-
A good understanding of how European institutions operate;

Ability to analyze complex legal and regulatory texts and clearly articulate the key issues involved;

Fluency in written and spoken English and French (required)

You don’t need to be an expert in digital assets to join Adan. However, knowledge of financial regulation and a passion for innovation and European digital sovereignty are essential.
