2025 Study: “Web3 in France: A Rapidly Expanding Ecosystem”

Adan is proud to announce the publication of the study "Web3 in France: A Rapidly Expanding Ecosystem," which we are partnering on alongside Doors3, Stack Talent, Finance Innovation, and Banque Delubac & Cie.

This collaborative study provides strategic insights into the challenges and opportunities of Web3 in France, accessible to all stakeholders in the ecosystem. It offers a comprehensive overview of the sector, covering areas such as regulation, training, international expansion, financing, and relationships with major corporations.

Key findings of the study

  • Web3 in France is no longer a niche phenomenon, but a rapidly expanding ecosystem featuring leading startups and unicorns.
  • The study highlights the importance of training and skill development in preventing the brain drain.
  • It highlights the regulatory challenges facing companies in the sector, particularly with the implementation of MiCA and TFR in December 2024.
  • Internationalization and collaboration among stakeholders are identified as key drivers for the sector’s development.

Outlook for 2025

Faustine Fleuret, former president of ADAN, emphasizes that 2025 must be a year of two major shifts in Europe: "lifting the foot off the regulatory brake and stepping on the innovation accelerator." She calls for a more proactive approach to compete with the United States and Asia, where political and financial support for Web3 is more robust.

This study is a valuable resource for understanding the current and future dynamics of Web3 in France. We invite all stakeholders in the ecosystem to review it to better understand the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead.

Adan remains committed to promoting and developing Web3 in France and will continue to work closely with industry stakeholders to create an environment conducive to innovation and growth.
